Achievements

Our achievements: Inspired by the motto of speed, service and sacrifice, fire service and civil defense as the first responder to any disaster-accident, 07 fire stations are operating in Naogaon district with the aim of delivering services to the doorsteps of the people. 04 fire stations are under construction. Naogaon Sadar Fire Station has been upgraded from Class 2 to Class 1. With the modernization of the government, the fire stations of the district have received fire fighting and rescue equipment, car pumps, and the work speed of this department has gradually increased. As a result of taking the training program, service activities have been strengthened in coordination with volunteers and other service organizations (Red Crescent). In the year 2022 till the month of September 324 fire fighting resulted in recovery of assets worth Rs.6,37,75,000/-. Apart from this, 23 people were killed in 133 road accidents and 143 people were rescued alive and shifted to hospital. According to the policies of this department, regular training programs are ongoing in various organizations/educational institutions to strengthen public awareness to deal with natural calamities such as fire fighting, earthquakes, floods, etc. Fire safety and revenue collection has been enhanced by strengthening the issuance of fire licenses to various establishments. Regular drills and public relations activities are continuing in Hat Bazaar, Bus Stand, Market, Slum Area and School College.
