Conduct firefighting at any time, strengthen fire prevention system and conduct search and rescue work in case of any accident-disaster.

Provide first aid to the injured in accidents and disasters, expeditious transfer of critically injured to hospitals and provision of ambulance services to patients.

Coordinate with local administration and agencies to deal with any disaster including fire accident and reduce loss of life and property.

Conduct necessary training, counseling and rehearsals for fire accident prevention in multi-storey buildings, commercial buildings, industrial plants and slum areas.

Provide refreshing training on firefighting, rescue and first aid to personnel of all fire stations.

Ensure implementation of clearance conditions for multi-storey buildings.

Undertaking activities to create public awareness including increasing the safety of life and property in fire prevention and disaster management.

Provide basic training on fire prevention and extinguishing to the officers and employees of government, semi-government and autonomous organizations, the public and students.

To provide services in return for service charge as per law.
