List of services

Ambulance service:


1. Ambulance service is provided to the general public for transporting patients locally or inter-district level as per the directions of the department.


2. Under the ambulance service only the patient is transferred from home to hospital or from hospital to home or from the accident site to hospital.


3. For this service, ambulance calls are received at the local level or in the municipal area by phone or messenger.


4. In case of inter-district level or remote calls, prior approval has to be obtained by filling up the prescribed form for patient transport.


5. The rates for transporting patients are as follows:


 (A) Rs.


     Only.


 (B) Only Rs.150 / - per call from 5 miles to 10 miles or from 8 kilometers to 16 kilometers.


 (C) In case of remote inter-district calls only Rs. 15 / - per mile and Rs. 9 / - per km.


  D) Charges of Rs. 20 / - for AC up to 16 kms and Rs. 200 / - for 16 kms are applicable.


     Corpses and patients with infectious diseases are not transported under the ambulance service.


Fire: 100 percent response is provided in any accident including fire.


Accidents: Rescue operations are conducted in any accident including road accident.


Training: Training is provided in various industrial establishments, educational institutions and government / semi-government offices with public awareness advice on fire and rescue.
